What does each system calculate?
BaZi maps a birth moment into four stem–branch pairs, organizing relationships through elements, polarity and solar terms. Western natal astrology commonly calculates planetary positions and interprets signs, aspects and houses.
Both use birth information, but one is not a translation of the other. Wood cannot simply be substituted for a planet, and the Day Master is not the same concept as a Sun sign.
Inputs and conventions differ
For BaZi, check date, local clock, time zone and day/solar-term boundaries; a solar-time convention also needs longitude. Western house and Ascendant calculations generally require location coordinates, time zone and a chosen house system.
Wenbu currently offers BaZi, Zi Wei, I Ching and tarot. It does not offer a complete Western natal chart. This comparison page does not imply that planetary ephemerides or house calculations are implemented.
Precision is not validation of an interpretation
An ephemeris can calculate positions precisely, and a calendar library can convert dates correctly. Personality or event interpretations derived from them need separate evaluation. Calculation precision does not validate every subsequent claim.
When comparing products, look for named systems, time-zone handling and sources. A statement that a product uses astronomical data is not sufficient evidence that its life predictions work.
Choose the question before choosing the tool
For a traditional Chinese time structure, begin with the four pillars. For planetary aspects, choose software that actually calculates them. For a present decision, a reflection tool that needs no birth data may be more direct.
Do not treat similar wording across several tools as independent confirmation. They may share broad descriptions or respond similarly to the same personal context.
